For this section I will write a couple of fun events during August 2017.

Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)

Website: www.theex.com

Every year the CNE happens in Toronto during the summer. This year it will happen on August 18 to September 4. Basically CNE is an amusement park. If you like roller coasters, haunted house and etc. then the CNE is the right place for you. Also the CNE is known having some very unique food. For example, last year they had the Canadian Bacon Taco. The CNE is a pretty flexible attraction that can be a place to hang out with friends and a place to spend a day with your family. From my years of being aware of the CNE, I feel it is very suitable for families with children between the ages of 5-10. Pretty much every child I talk to between 5-10 years old enjoys the CNE.

Rogers Cup

Website: www.rogerscup.com

For fans of tennis or sports, the Rogers Cup will definitely be a treat. Lots of famous tennis stars will be competing for prize money. In fact in past tournaments the winner of the tournament singles tournament was guaranteed a minimum of a couple hundred thousand dollars in prize money. Also, when you go to tennis events there is a chance you might get autographs of various tennis stars. This tennis tournament will take place from August 5-13.

Taste of the Danforth

Website: www.tasteofthedanforth.com

Basically the Taste of the Danforth is a street festival that takes place in the Greek town area of the city. This event will have a mixture of food, music, sports and art. Although there is a bias to have more Greek food, there will also be other types of food too. This event can get really busy. Therefore if you do not like being in places too crowded I suggest you give them a call and ask during which hours is usually less busy. One big advantage for the Taste of the Danforth is the fact that it is public transit friendly, due to being next to the subway station of Broadview and Chester. Therefore for people, who are not sure how they feel about the event, if you happen to be passing by it on subway feel free to drop by and take a look. This event takes place from August 11 to 13.
